Who is Skill4driver?

Established in 1989, Skill4driver is a leading driving school in Medway, Kent, dedicated to empowering drivers with essential skills. We provide comprehensive lessons ranging from beginners to corporate assessments, ensuring every student exceeds in a high standard of driving proficiency. Our focus is on safe, confident and highly skilled driving. enabling the driver to deal with ever changing modern driving situation.

We do this by not only teaching the basic knowledge needed to be a safe driver but by also whenever possible introducing enhanced driving skills. enabling them;

To be able to adapt and control not only their own driving but the driving environment around them.
To be proactive drivers and not reactive drivers.
To fully understand the vehicle they are driving and how to maintain a safe control.

With extensive experience, our aim is to transform novice drivers into proficient ones while accommodating their individual learning needs. As an instructor, I am committed to addressing the unique requirements of each student. Whether you are a learner or a corporate driver, everyone deserves the opportunity to become the best driver possible. My mission is to help you reach your learning goals in a safe and enjoyable environment.

Throughout the years, I have worked with learners of various abilities and learning styles, as well as driving offenders in local authorities diversionary schemes. I have worked with corporate drivers in company settings. I have provided training both in classrooms and on the road. I have continuously enhance my teaching qualifications and, having completed level 4 teaching qualifications (PTLLS and CTLLS), earned a diploma in cognitive behaviour therapies, and achieved advanced level driving certificates with the DIA, IAM, and RoSPA.

I hold the highest Standard Check grade and score available to instructors in the country, a remarkable SC Grade A score of 51/51 in 2014. At Skill4Driver, you can be confident that you will become the best driver you can be, learning at your own pace and in a style tailored to your needs.

Meet your highly qualified instructor, Phillip!

With over three decades of experience as a fully qualified A.D.I since 1989, he’s truly a driving force in the industry. Phillip started his teaching career at a national driving school and then went on to launch the Gemini School of Motoring in 1990. In 2006, he took his passion further by joining Kent panel of trainers delivering diversionary schemes focused on driver offender re-education, It was during this time that he proudly introduced Skill4driver to his school. Now, Phillip specializes in both learners and full license holders, using his expertise to empower a diverse range of learners, including those with social and learning challenges. His dedication ensures that every lesson is uniquely tailored to meet the individual needs of his clients, making every driving experience a remarkable one!

Our training will enable you to Pass your driving test to the highest standard with most of our students achieving a First Time Pass. On average only one or two of our students do not pass on their first attempt each year.
